Transport of artworks for the Institute of Giennense Studies

Summary

The contract covers transport of artworks belonging to the Institute of Giennense Studies in Jaén, throughout mainland Spain and to the Balearic and Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla. The service includes packing and, where necessary, installation at the destination. Approximately 32 artworks are transported in a typical year; their maximum dimensions are 200 × 200 cm, but the actual quantity will depend on the institute’s needs. Collection will normally take place at the institute in Jaén on working days between 9:00 and 14:00; urgent services may exceptionally be requested on non-working days. The contractor must arrange safe transport and storage in a dry, enclosed place with suitable environmental conditions; supply packing materials when requested; repair or replace damaged packaging; confirm each delivery by email; and provide a contact person available on working days. The initial term is one year, with an option to extend for a further year. The tender budget is €30,000 excluding VAT (€36,300 including 21% VAT); the estimated value, including the possible extension and a modification of up to 20%, is €66,000. Bids must state unit prices not exceeding €1.42 per kilometre for a two-axle general-cargo vehicle, €50 per packaging item, and €500 for transporting a medium-sized painting measuring 1–2 metres. The price evaluation is divided between kilometre rate (60%), packaging (10%) and transport of a medium-sized painting (30%). Bidders must meet the qualification and evidence requirements, submit one electronic envelope containing a responsible declaration and price offer, and account for the 5% final performance guarantee and required insurance if selected. The contractor must also comply with personal-data protection requirements.
