Furniture supply and installation for the Active Living Centre and social services facilities

Summary

The contract covers the supply, transport, unloading, assembly, installation and commissioning of furniture and functional equipment for the new Active Living Centre, day-care units and social assistance centre at 20 Leopoldo Cano Street in Valladolid. Areas to be furnished include communal and recreation spaces, classrooms and workshops, multipurpose rooms, offices, service rooms, and waiting and circulation areas. The furniture must withstand intensive public use and meet accessibility, ergonomic, safety, durability and maintenance needs, particularly for older people and other users. The contract must be completed within 45 calendar days of signature. Deliveries and installation will be phased as rooms become available; if needed, the contractor must store the furniture temporarily at no extra cost. A site visit is mandatory before submitting a bid and must be requested within the first 10 calendar days of the bid period; failure to attend results in rejection. Bids must be submitted electronically, and the submission period is 15 calendar days from the date the contract notice is sent to the EU Publications Office. Offers can receive up to 100 points: price accounts for up to 80 points, and specified improvements at no additional cost account for up to 20 points. Possible improvements include enhanced hygienic and fire-resistant upholstery for chairs, extending the upholstery improvement to 413 communal chairs, or supplying 13 sets of planters with integrated self-watering systems. Only improvements accepted and undertaken in full will be scored. The tender budget is €285,123.97 excluding VAT, or €345,000 including VAT; the estimated contract value is €342,148.76 excluding VAT. Contract performance is conditional on adequate funding being available in the 2027 budget. The furniture must carry a warranty of at least three years.
