Damaged Sleeper Replacement Programme, Southeast Region 2027

Summary

DB InfraGO AG, Southeast Region, is procuring the replacement of damaged railway sleepers across approximately 115 km of six rail networks. Defective concrete sleepers will mainly be replaced using large-scale machinery, with conventional replacement planned at stations and constrained locations. At least ballast cleaning will also be carried out when new sleepers are installed, with works planned to minimise disruption to rail operations and help prevent temporary speed restrictions in 2027/28.
