Ventilation systems for the University of Heidelberg LEMS building
Summary
The contract covers the installation of ventilation and air-conditioning systems for the first construction phase of the University of Heidelberg’s new Life-inspired Engineering Molecular Systems (LEMS) research and laboratory building. The works include supply- and extract-air systems, ductwork, fans, filters, sound attenuators and fire dampers, heating and cooling equipment, and heat-recovery and free-cooling systems. They also include work on an outdoor-air intake tower, testing, measurement, balancing and commissioning of the systems, and preparation of handover and maintenance documentation. The scope includes initial hygiene inspections, air-duct leakage tests, support during expert acceptance testing, and participation in technical monitoring tests. The bid must include, among other items, a suitability self-declaration, pricing information, the Russian sanctions declaration, and the required maintenance and inspection agreements. The contract is not divided into lots, alternative bids are not permitted, and price is the sole award criterion. The binding start and completion dates are 12 April 2027 and 7 December 2029. The bid submission deadline is 19 October 2026 at 23:59.
