Renewal and expansion of a MOVPE system for III-nitrides and 2D semiconductors

Summary

The tender concerns the complete renewal and expansion of the University of Duisburg-Essen’s existing Aixtron MOVPE system for producing III-nitrides and 2D semiconductors. The work includes replacing the process pump, gas-inlet showerhead and four check valves; adding ethene and triethylborane gas lines; updating the control software; and carrying out installation, commissioning, leak testing and functional testing. The tender must be submitted electronically by 9 October 2026 at 12:00; delivery is expected within six months after acceptance of the tender. The bidder must have at least three comparable Aixtron MOVPE references from the last three years and professional liability insurance providing annual coverage of EUR 2,500,000 per claim for each type of damage.
