Shirts of All Kinds
Summary
The Berlin Fire Brigade is procuring T-shirts, functional shirts, youth fire brigade shirts and sweatshirts in four lots. The framework agreement will run for 3 years, and the estimated total value in the contract notice is EUR 461,000 excluding VAT. Actual orders may differ from the estimates, and there is no commitment to purchase a fixed quantity. Bids may cover up to all four lots. Price and quality each account for 50% of the evaluation; quality assessment includes product quality, delivery time, environmental performance and social sustainability. Lot 1 covers dark blue, short-sleeved V-neck shirts for the professional and volunteer fire brigades. The documents estimate approximately 18,000–18,500 shirts. Shirts must contain at least 50% organic cotton or another sustainable material, have a fabric weight of approximately 180–200 g/m², and withstand washing at up to 60°C. They must include a chest pocket, a hook-and-loop patch area on the sleeve, and the fire brigade’s word-and-image mark on the chest and back. Two samples of each offered item in size L must accompany the bid; sample costs will not be reimbursed. Orders under Lots 1, 3 and 4 must be delivered within 12 weeks, and Lot 2 orders within 8 weeks of each order. Bids must be submitted electronically in German. Bidders must provide proof of environmental management under DIN ISO 14001 or equivalent, together with the required declarations concerning exclusion grounds, women’s advancement and contract conditions. For textiles, bidders must demonstrate compliance with environmental and social requirements, including the ILO core labour standards at the cutting, sewing and finishing stage of production.
