Engineering services pursuant to Part 4 Section 1 HOAI (structural design)

Summary

The tender concerns structural design services for Building L of the University of Konstanz in connection with the refurbishment of the escape-balcony system and general building works. The initially commissioned services cover performance phases 2–4: preliminary design, design development and approval structural design. The binding periods are October–December 2026 and January–April 2027; further phases may be commissioned separately within 36 months after completion of the initially commissioned services. The bidder must demonstrate professional eligibility, provide professional indemnity insurance of at least EUR 3 million for personal injury and EUR 5 million for other damage, and show that it has the team required for comparable services. A list of comparable services from the last three years and one reference meeting strict requirements are required: a refurbishment or alteration project with net building costs exceeding EUR 10 million, completed from 2022 onwards, in a multi-storey existing reinforced-concrete building in at least earthquake zone 2, including strengthening of the existing load-bearing structure and new steel load-bearing structures. The bid must include the required contractual documents, the suitability declaration, the EU Russia-sanctions declaration, the object list and a reference-project presentation of up to five A3 pages. The bidder must also provide details of the project manager, deputy project manager and other team members and describe its schedule, cost-control and quality-assurance methods.։
