Framework agreement for helicopter-assisted tree felling

Summary

The City of Pirmasens is procuring a framework agreement for helicopter-assisted felling and removal of standing trees at the Waldfriedhof cemetery and, where needed, other municipal parks. The work includes positioning the helicopter, setting up the required infrastructure and refuelling, preparing and lifting the trees, and placing them in designated areas; the city will handle further processing. Around 40–130 trees are expected to be removed annually, with an estimated maximum total of 432 trees. The contract runs from 2027 to 2028, with two possible one-year extensions.
