Building design for implementing the fire safety concept at BBS I

Summary

The City of Delmenhorst is procuring building design services for fire-safety improvements at BBS I, a school comprising seven building sections with a total gross floor area of approximately 7,475 m². Planned works include two external escape stairs, door and fire-resisting glazing changes, smoke extraction, fire protection to service routes and shafts, and upgrades to alarm, emergency lighting and associated power systems. Services are planned in stages: the initial commission covers service phases 1–3, with further stages intended but not guaranteed; completion of the overall project is planned by the end of 2030.
