Preliminary study of Sporophila bird species

Summary

The procurement covers background research on Sporophila bird species that are not currently listed under CITES. The work will compile and assess information on the species’ distribution, population status, international trade, use and existing conservation measures, drawing on scientific literature, databases and expert consultations. It will assess whether any species meet the CITES listing criteria; preparing a listing proposal and consulting stakeholders, particularly range states, is optional.
