Procurement of battery-powered equipment and charging infrastructure for ForstBW
Summary
ForstBW is seeking a framework agreement for an integrated system of battery-powered forestry maintenance equipment and charging infrastructure for 17 forestry districts. The initial supply comprises 148 chainsaws, 345 telescopic pole pruners, 197 pole hedge trimmers, 1,224 batteries, 78 mobile power supplies, 370 transport containers for batteries and operating equipment, and trailer-mounted charging solutions: 8 small, 29 medium and 41 large. The contract also covers subsequent and replacement deliveries and spare parts; estimated quantities may be increased by up to 20%. The equipment must be suitable for continuous professional forestry work, with batteries and charging infrastructure working as one coordinated system. The system must provide the energy needed for a working day for groups of up to six people, with demand of up to 8.5 kWh, support overnight charging, and allow individual batteries to be charged in under 30 minutes at forest work sites without mains electricity. Chainsaws, pole pruners and pole hedge trimmers must have passed the KWF-PROFI test or be supported by proof of registration for testing. Offers are evaluated on 400 points: up to 200 for price and up to 200 for technical characteristics, including sound pressure, vibration, and the weight of equipment and batteries. The framework agreement starts on 1 December 2026 and initially runs until 30 November 2028, with two possible one-year extensions; it ends no later than 30 June 2030. Initial delivery is due by 31 March 2027. Offers must be submitted electronically in German through the Baden-Württemberg tender platform by 9:00 a.m. on 3 November 2026. Only one main offer is permitted; alternatives are not accepted. Participation requires the prescribed declarations and evidence, including technical documents, KWF evidence, a list of service workshops and references for comparable deliveries.
