Tender detail
Planning a retaining wall, Eschweiler
Summary
The tender concerns the design of a retaining wall and its replacement or strengthening solution alongside the River Inde at Eschweiler-Aue railway station. The approximately 300-metre-long wall, with an average height of 4 metres, must secure the railway infrastructure and enable rail traffic to resume. The designer must assess different solutions, such as new construction, rehabilitation of the existing structure or a combination, and plan construction phases and temporary safety measures while the railway remains operational. The design must account for railway traffic loads, maintain passenger and freight traffic as far as possible on operational Track 1, protect overhead-line masts, foundations and cable troughs, and plan closures of no more than five consecutive working days with prior notice. Design of the railway track facilities themselves is excluded from the scope. The performance period is from 1 December 2026 to 31 December 2029. The tender deadline is 15 October 2026 at 10:00. The contract will be awarded to the tender with the lowest price. The tender must be submitted electronically in text form; multiple main tenders and variant tenders are not permitted.
