Metalwork for the manufacture and installation of smoke curtains

Summary

The tender covers the manufacture, supply and installation of two smoke curtains in the platform area on level C of the Leipziger Straße metro station in Frankfurt. The curtains are to be made of steel and laminated glass, with associated plasterboard or cement-board soffit extensions. The work also includes setting up and fencing off the work area, scaffolding, safety measures, documentation, surveys and installation drawings. The construction must be smoke-tight, and the fixings must be supported by calculations demonstrating that they remain attached to the ceiling during 30 minutes of fire exposure. Work will take place while the station remains in operation, without obstructing passenger movement or escape routes. The expected contract period is 18 January 2027 to 10 August 2027.
