Grade-separated expansion of Frankenschnellweg, West section: road and civil engineering works

Summary

The tender concerns the grade-separated expansion of the Frankenschnellweg's West section, including road and civil engineering works along an approximate 2 km stretch from the Nürnberg/Fürth junction to the Nürnberg-Westring junction (Jansen Bridge). The works are divided into three lots: Lot 1 – road construction: complete renewal of the road pavement and drainage; Lot 2 – civil engineering: construction of up to 8 m high curved noise barriers on both sides of the route, about 1.1 km per direction, construction of straight noise barriers on the Jansen Bridge, upgrading of the southern exit ramp of the Jansen Bridge, and erection of two traffic-sign bridges; Lot 3 – replacement bridge over Sigmundstraße: renewal of the bridge structure as an integral steel-concrete bridge.
