Renovation of the Experiment Hall – fire protection works

Summary

GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research is procuring fire-protection works as part of the renovation of its Experiment Hall in Darmstadt. The work includes fire-stopping ceiling and wall penetrations for cables and pipes, fire-resistant pipe insulation and enclosures, fire seals for building joints, cable fire-stop pillows, removal of existing materials, and preparation of complete fire-protection documentation. The schedule includes 127 mortar fire-stops for ceiling openings, 250 fire-stop pillows and 390 metres of fire-protection joint cord.
