Energy-efficient modernisation of Radio Bremen’s heating and cooling systems

Summary

Radio Bremen is procuring construction works to modernise the building’s heating and cooling systems. The works include recovering waste heat for heating, installing a high-temperature heat pump and a new oil-free chiller, and replacing the existing boilers with modular gas-condensing backup boilers. Associated pumps, pipework, buffer tanks, ventilation duct connections, electrical equipment and building automation will also be renewed or adapted, with temporary cooling and coordinated work intended to maintain operations during construction.
