Vegetation clearance on the A 66 Frankfurt–Wiesbaden ramp

Summary

Die Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government is procuring vegetation clearance and landscaping works at the A 66/A 643 Schierstein interchange in Wiesbaden. The works cover approximately 21,000 m² of woody vegetation with undergrowth and 750 m² of scrub, meadow, thistles and brambles: trees are to be felled, hedges and shrubs cut back, and deadwood and cuttings removed. After clearance for unexploded ordnance, the contractor must also remove and dispose of or recover the stumps, carry out a protected-species occupancy check before cutting, and temporarily dismantle and reinstate part of the Kallebad fence.
