Nature conservation assessments for replacement of the A61 pedestrian bridge

Summary

The Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government, Western Branch, is procuring nature-conservation assessments for replacing pedestrian bridge BW 5711598 over the A61 near Pfaffenheck, east of Nörtershausen. The services include a landscape conservation plan and a species-protection assessment; a fauna planning-area analysis and an initial FFH compatibility screening have already been completed, and no detailed FFH assessment is required. The replacement is planned at the existing location for a 46.8 m long, 2.5 m wide bridge, with construction currently envisaged for 2028–2030.
