Design of combined heat and power units and building controls at Düsseldorf/Ratingen prison

Summary

BLB NRW is seeking technical building-services design for the renewal of three existing combined heat and power units at the Düsseldorf/Ratingen prison. The work includes assessing alternative heating solutions, integrating the new units and meters with the existing heating system and building management system, and reviewing and improving the system’s energy performance. Planning is to begin in 2026, with construction intended to be completed by autumn 2027.
