South Harz monitoring 2027–2030, with an option for 2031–2032

Summary

The procurement covers monitoring of potash tailings heaps in Bischofferode, Bleicherode, Sollstedt, Menteroda and Sondershausen, as well as the central brine storage basin in Wipperdorf. Groundwater and surface-water samples are to be collected twice a year from 8 regular and 3 special groundwater monitoring points, 1 heap-water monitoring point and 7 surface-water monitoring points; three depth profiles are also to be measured in both directions. The work includes chemical analysis, data delivery after each sampling and analysis round, and an annual results report and documentation. The contract runs from 1 April 2027 to 15 December 2030, with an option to extend until 15 December 2032; it is not divided into lots.
