Outpatient dental care for detainees at the Wriezen facility

Summary

The State of Brandenburg is procuring outpatient dental care for up to 150 male juvenile and young adult detainees, up to 25 years of age, at the Wriezen facility of the Nord-Brandenburg correctional institution. The service includes examinations, diagnosis and treatment, written assessments of detainees’ fitness for work, custody and court appearances, legally required infectious-disease notifications, advice to prison management and staff, and cooperation with other institutions. Care is generally provided during on-site clinics for up to four hours per week, between 9:00 and 16:00; individual treatments may take place at the contractor’s premises, and telephone consultations may also be requested. The contract starts on 1 December 2026, runs for four years and may be extended by two years.
