Core drilling works

Summary

The Autobahn GmbH is commissioning geotechnical ground investigations for three replacement bridges on the A3 near Nomborn, between approximately km 93.2 and 94.4. The work comprises 18 boreholes in total: two core borings per bridge to 15 m in the median and four further investigations per bridge to 30 m at the road shoulders, together with unexploded-ordnance clearance surveys, soil and groundwater sampling, groundwater-level measurements, surveying and documentation. Traffic management and worksite safety arrangements are provided by the contracting authority.
