Support services for agricultural and horticultural experimental plots in 2027
Summary
The contract is for staff support with the maintenance of agricultural and horticultural experimental plots, technical work on plant-protection trials, sample preparation, pruning and harvesting from 1 May to 30 November 2027. Work will take place at the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology’s trial sites in Nossen, Chemnitz and Dresden, and, where needed, at other experimental plots across Saxony. Tasks include maintaining trial plots and paths, mechanical weed control, pruning trees and shrubs, thinning fruit, and harvesting apples, cherries and vegetables. Estimated seasonal workloads are approximately 50 hours in Nossen, 150 hours in Chemnitz and 380 hours in Dresden; actual demand may vary, and up to 3 workers per day may be required at peak times. Bidders should account for relevant horticultural and experimental-work experience, suitable staff training or several years of relevant experience, and German-language skills. The offer must state the net hourly rate and VAT, and include all work and travel costs. Price is the sole award criterion. The submission deadline is 22 October 2026. Offers must be signed and submitted on paper; electronic, fax and telephone submissions are not accepted.
