Upgrade of the ventilation duct on level -3

Summary

The tender covers the phased renewal of ageing or damaged fire dampers in ventilation ducts on the third basement level of University Hospital Aachen. The works include dismantling and disposing of existing dampers and, where necessary, duct sections and steel supports; adapting the supports; installing and connecting motorised fire dampers of the same dimensions; and reinstating the ducts, controllers, wiring and insulation. The work must take account of the hospital’s continued operation, be organised by area, and include an assessment of whether a temporary replacement measure is needed before each damper is converted. The schedule runs from early 2027 to April 2029 and includes commissioning, inspection and acceptance. Bidders must provide proof of paid liability insurance issued no more than one year before submission, a declaration of competence for demolition and disposal work involving asbestos and mineral wool, and references for comparable work completed during the last three closed financial years. The required declarations and bidder information must also be included. Non-prequalified bidders must submit a suitability self-declaration, and the requirements may also apply to proposed subcontractors. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 16 October 2026 at 09:00. Price is the sole award criterion, and variant tenders are not permitted.
