Building G interior doors: installation of metal and timber doors

Summary

The contract covers the supply and installation of interior doors and related work at Building G in Bad Münstereifel as part of the building’s phased renovation. The work includes installing 15 metal doors and 24 timber doors. The specifications include fire- and smoke-resistant doors, glazed smoke-control door assemblies and, in some cases, RC2 burglary resistance. The specified sound insulation for timber doors is Rw 37 dB. The contract also includes installing 24 metres of wooden wall protection, replacing 150 metres of seals on existing doors, and allowing for 8 hours of skilled construction labour and 8 hours of general labour. The contract is not divided into lots and variant bids are not permitted, but multiple main bids are allowed. Price is the sole award criterion. The bidder must submit the priced bill of quantities and the required offer forms, and demonstrate financial and technical capacity, including three references for comparable work if shortlisted. No minimum turnover or liability-insurance amount is specified; the required insurance limits must be checked in the tender documents.
