Green-space edge maintenance in Boxberg and Emmertsgrund, 2027–2028
Summary
The contract covers maintenance of the edges of public green spaces, playgrounds and traffic areas in Heidelberg’s Boxberg and Emmertsgrund districts in 2027–2028, with the aim of keeping paths and facilities clear. Woody and herbaceous growth must be cut close to ground level along a strip extending at least 1 m from the edge, while maintaining clearance up to a height of 2.5 m. Maintenance is required twice a year: in May/June and during calendar week 39 in October. The total quantity is 83,984 m, including 41,992 m in each year. The work includes traffic and work-site safety, all necessary machinery and equipment, and collecting, removing and disposing of cuttings, leaves, litter and stones at least 5 cm in diameter at the contractor’s expense. Work zones must be secured in accordance with the applicable road-work safety rules, and required traffic permits must be provided before work starts. Pesticides are prohibited. Progress must be reported weekly, and a signed work report must be submitted for each maintenance interval. The bidder must submit the required priced schedule as a PDF and the other forms and declarations specified in the tender documents, including commitments to meet minimum-pay and collective-agreement requirements. References for comparable work performed during the previous three years must be provided if requested. Offers are due by 27 October 2026 at 11:00. The lowest-priced offer will be selected, and alternative offers are not permitted.
