2027 annual landscaping maintenance contract for open wastewater facilities, with two extension options

Summary

The tender covers landscaping maintenance at the City of Kiel’s open wastewater facilities and related sites in 2027. Work includes mowing and cleaning grass areas, slopes, gravel-surfaced paths and paved areas, trimming hedges and scrub, and, when instructed, tree felling, crown maintenance and stump removal. The sites comprise 26 stormwater retention basins, two service paths, two structures and two discharge points across the city, with approximately 48,000 m² of land and about 5,800 m of fencing. The basins are mown once a year from late July to the end of August; service paths, structures and discharge points are generally maintained twice a year, in May and September. Tree and scrub work is carried out only on the contracting authority’s specific instruction. The contract runs from 1 January to 31 December 2027 and may be extended twice for one year by mutual agreement. Work is ordered as needed in separate assignments; quantities are not guaranteed, and payment is for work actually performed. Bids must be submitted electronically through the contracting authority’s portal by 25 November 2026 at 08:10; submission by email is not permitted. Price is the sole award criterion. The work must be supervised by a gardener qualified in gardening and landscaping, or an equivalent person, whose name and mobile number must be provided.
