Construction of the Kleine Striegis flood-retention basin – Lot 4: civil engineering structures

Summary

The procurement covers construction of the Kleine Striegis flood-retention basin and related hydraulic and civil engineering works near Hainichen. The works include a basin with approximately 270,000 m³ of storage capacity, around 1,000 m² of ground sealing, a stone-fill dam approximately 281 m long, and associated earthworks, concrete, steel hydraulic and water-protection works. The project also includes a new reinforced-concrete culvert structure and a reinforced-concrete portal-frame bridge with an approximately 6.6 m span, demolition of the existing bridge, and partial removal of two weirs to restore ecological river continuity. Other works include monitoring and measurement equipment, operating equipment for the basin, slope protection and groundwater lowering. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 16 October 2026 at 11:00. Price accounts for 85% of the evaluation and quality criteria for 15%. Work is scheduled to start on 7 December 2026 and be completed by 8 December 2028. The contract requires a 5% performance guarantee and a 3% guarantee for defect claims, both provided as bank guarantees.
