Renewal of Steel Railings on Bridges and a Retaining Wall in Münster
Summary
The procurement covers the renewal of existing railings on 11 bridges and one retaining wall in the city of Münster. The contractor will remove the existing steel and aluminium railings and supply and install steel railings only; alternative offers proposing aluminium railings are not permitted. The work also includes traffic management and worksite safety, workshop drawings, installation of railings and protective structures, earthing at two bridges associated with electrified railway lines, and selected concrete, masonry and road-surface repairs. Work will take place while traffic remains in operation and railway-area activities must comply with railway operating requirements. The entire package, including accounting, must be completed by 1 July 2027. The bidder must have the required welding qualification (DIN EN ISO 9606 or DIN EN 1090) and an SIVV certificate for concrete repair work. Deutsche Bahn PQ-Bahn prequalification in the relevant categories is required for engineering and safety services connected with the two railway structures. The traffic-safety officer’s MVAS 1999 qualification certificate must be no more than three years old, and the successful bidder must provide it before construction begins. The bid must be submitted electronically, with the priced bill of quantities in both PDF and GAEB formats. Price is the sole award criterion.
