Metalwork for the new Gescherweg student residence

Summary

The procurement covers metalwork for the new Gescherweg III student residence development in Münster, comprising two new buildings planned to provide 190 student rooms. The work includes fabricating and installing steel stairwell railings and stainless-steel handrails, lift-shaft ventilation grilles, steel grilles and sheet-metal covers for light wells, a double-leaf bicycle-basement door, mesh-enclosed rooms for ash bins and cleaning supplies, a removable basement stair and ramp, and a pump-sump cover. The contract also includes site measurement, workshop and installation drawings, structural calculations, required fixings, corrosion protection, protective measures and documentation. Stair railings must withstand a horizontal load of at least 1.0 kN/m. Work will proceed in both building sections in parallel, and the specified schedule and site safety requirements must be observed. Work must start within 12 working days of the contracting authority’s instruction and be completed within 60 working days; the instruction is expected between late December 2026 and late January 2027. Delay damages are 0.2% of the order value excluding VAT per working day, capped at 5%. Tenders must be submitted electronically in German by 21 October 2026 at 11:00. The contract is not divided into lots, and alternative or multiple main tenders are not permitted; price is the sole award criterion. Bidders must submit the required suitability declaration, tender forms and pricing documents.
