Gas infrastructure

Summary

The tender covers the construction of hydrogen and other gas infrastructure for a test furnace hall in Freiberg. The work mainly comprises the piping and equipment needed to supply hydrogen safely and efficiently to use points inside and outside the building; no design work is required. The works are scheduled from 3 November 2026 to 12 February 2027. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 11:00 on 15 October 2026. Alternative bids and multiple main bids are not permitted. The bidder must provide at least three completed comparable projects from the last six financial years, stating each contract’s value, date and client. Comparable projects include, among others, work involving flammable gases such as hydrocarbons, hydrogen or carbon monoxide, or pressurised gases. Forms 124 and 233 and a reference schedule are required. The evaluation criteria and technical details must be checked in the tender documents. An advance payment is possible only where customary in the industry and against an indefinite bank guarantee from an EU-authorised credit institution accepted by the contracting authority. Advance payments are limited to 30% of the contract value in total; the remaining 70% is payable after successful acceptance.
