Repair of the internal rainwater drainage system in Hot Cells facility sections 1 and 2

Summary

The procurement covers repairs to the internal roof rainwater drainage system in sections 1 and 2 of the Hot Cells facility at KTE’s site in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. The work includes completely removing existing cast-iron pipes, their supports and connections in five rooms, replacing and repairing sections of the system, and supplying and installing new SML pipes in accordance with DIN EN 877. Pipes must be joined with CV couplings and claw-type locking clamps, properly supported and labelled. The listed work includes DN 100 pipe sections of approximately 2, 4, 5 and 30 metres, as well as additional shorter replacement sections. Before installation, the drainage pipes must be located using a suitable tracing method, water ingress into the rooms must be prevented, and the relevant roof outlets must be temporarily sealed. The contractor must account for materials that may contain PAHs or PCBs, carry out a risk assessment and implement measures to contain dust; in room 2.25, dust from demolition work must be continuously extracted using an H13-class vacuum cleaner. The work is scheduled for 11 January to 30 April 2027. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 29 October 2026 at 10:00. Variant tenders are not permitted, and the contract is not divided into lots. The bidder must name at least two workers in its tender and meet the requirements concerning professional expertise, German-language ability, reliability screening under atomic-energy legislation and KTE safety training.
