Breathing Apparatus Use Monitoring System

Summary

Nuremberg’s fire service is procuring a breathing-apparatus use monitoring system for its professional and volunteer fire brigades. The complete solution must ensure continuous documentation of breathing-apparatus operations in accordance with FwDV 7. The supply includes 60 electronic monitoring base units, 1,000 RFID transponders, 60 equipment bags, mounting brackets, USB cable sets and 230 V power supplies, as well as manufacturer software and commissioning support. Each base unit must be able to monitor at least six teams simultaneously, with 2–6 members per team, and store at least 500 operations. The software must run locally on the city’s server and offer an interface to the MP Feuer fire-service administration software. Support must be available to 2–3 fire-service employees during the first 12 months. The bidder must provide detailed hardware and software descriptions in German and evidence that the offered system is already used by at least three professional fire brigades or continuously staffed fire stations. The tender also requires a list of comparable work from the last three years, turnover figures for the relevant business area, proof of liability insurance, business registrations or equivalent prequalification, and declarations concerning exclusion grounds. Bids must be submitted electronically by 27 October 2026 at 23:59. Alternative bids are not permitted, and the procurement is not divided into lots. Price is the sole award criterion. Delivery and completion are scheduled for 13 November–25 December 2026.
