Removal of coating from the A1 bridge over L 60 near Laufeld

Summary

The tender concerns removal of the coating from the bridge carrying the A1 over L 60 near Laufeld (structure reference BW 5907 502). A sample of the concrete coating taken in advance contained no detected asbestos; the total PCB result was 3.1 mg/kg and total volatile halogenated hydrocarbons were 1.1 mg/kg. The assessment found the results below the thresholds for hazardous waste; the removed material is to be classified under waste codes 17 02 03 or 17 09 04 specified in the documents. Work must start no later than 21 working days after contract award and be completed by 30 January 2027. Technical requirements for engineering structures and testing, as well as roadworks traffic-safety requirements, apply. The contract requires a 5% performance security and, after acceptance, a 3% defects security.
