Representative survey of the German population on the acceptance of comprehensive surveillance and control

Summary

The procurement concerns conducting a representative quantitative survey of the German population to assess acceptance of comprehensive surveillance and control. The study uses a mixed-method approach with CAWI online survey and a postal follow-up (PAPI). A net sample of 2,500 respondents (ages 16–75) will be drawn from EMA, aiming for 60–80 Primary Sample Units (PSUs) and a total of 36 vignettes per respondent (totaling 7,200 vignette evaluations). The project is led under a DFG research group (5906); compliance with ICC/ESOMAR Code and the German Declaration is required, along with ISO 20252 certification and the ADM Sustainability Code. Data processing complies with GDPR. The schedule envisages pretests in 2026 and fieldwork from 11 January to 15 March 2027, with final anonymized data delivered in SPSS, STATA and R by 30 April 2027. Results will be provided under the project terms and formats.
