Timber harvesting in the Königsbrück and Zeithain forest districts

Summary

The tender covers mechanized timber harvesting and extraction in the Königsbrück and Zeithain forest districts, including thinning, processing of fire- and bark-beetle-damaged timber, stacking, roadside safety measures and transport over distances of approximately 500–1,000 metres. The procurement is divided into two lots: approximately 1,500 solid cubic metres in Königsbrück and approximately 1,100 solid cubic metres in Zeithain. Work is scheduled to start on 1 November 2026, with extraction to be completed by the end of February 2027. The contractor must provide protected machinery certified for work on potentially unexploded-ordnance-contaminated areas, complete all prices for the relevant lot, and include road and site safety measures. The award criteria are price at 70% and the permanent deployment of trained forestry workers at 30%. The tenderer must also be able to start within 10 days of being commissioned.
