Surveying and mobile mapping of Munich’s roads in 2027

Summary

The City of Munich is procuring a 2027 mobile-mapping survey of its roads and paths, including preparation and anonymisation of the data. Core deliverables are georeferenced 360-degree panoramic images and a LiDAR-derived 3D point cloud; optional work includes inventories of road signs, markings, parking spaces, trees, street furniture and other road features, as well as road-condition assessments. The contract also includes hosting and visualisation of the new data and some existing survey data, with web and GIS access for four years and delivery of data on hard drives.
