Procurement of petrol-powered chainsaws for ForstBW

Summary

Forst Baden-Württemberg is procuring new petrol-powered chainsaws for professional forestry use, together with small and spare parts, under a framework agreement. The chainsaws will initially equip workers in 18 forest districts and service units; additional and replacement equipment and spare parts may be ordered during the agreement. The estimated initial quantities in the demand table are 322 light, 153 medium class 1, 154 medium class 2 and 137 heavy saws. However, the quantities stated in the individual technical specifications are 318, 154, 152 and 134 respectively, so the applicable quantities must be confirmed in the tender documents. The estimated quantities may be increased by up to 20% under the framework agreement. The saws must meet the technical requirements for four classes, be suitable for continuous professional forestry work and have KWF-PROFI certification or an equivalent qualification. Bidders must provide evidence of successful KWF testing or binding registration for testing and offer a wide network of service workshops. Initial delivery is due no later than 18 December 2026. The framework agreement runs from 1 December 2026 to 30 June 2028 and may be extended twice for one year, up to 30 June 2030 at the latest. Offers must be submitted electronically in German by 9:00 a.m. on 3 November 2026. Each bidder may submit one main offer; variants are not allowed. The award will go to the most economically advantageous offer: price carries up to 200 points, and emissions, noise, vibration and weight across the four chainsaw classes carry up to 200 points in total. Bidders must also meet the servicing and warranty obligations and cover the one-off €3,000 cost of integration with the ordering platform.
