Framework agreement for forest site mapping and forecasting in Rhineland-Palatinate

Summary

The procurement covers two forest services in Rhineland-Palatinate: Lot 1 maps forest sites in selected learning areas for forecasting, while Lot 2 produces digital forest-site forecasts based on existing maps and continuous environmental data. The planned forecasting covers approximately 245,000 ha across seven forecast areas, at a target scale of 1:10,000. The work will support sustainable forest management, soil protection, climate adaptation and tree-species planning. This is a framework agreement to be awarded in each lot to all suitable companies. Specific assignments will be ordered as needed through mini-competitions during the contract period; the framework does not guarantee a particular volume of work. The initial term is 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027, with annual extension options up to a maximum total term of four years. Offers are due by 12:00 noon on 5 November 2026. Bidders must provide the required general declarations, evidence of professional or business liability insurance, and evidence of experience and competence for the lot concerned. Insurance must provide at least EUR 3,000,000 cover for personal injury and EUR 100,000 for property damage, with total cover of EUR 3,000,000.
