Manufacture and delivery of a container for storing sealed Co-60 radioactive sources

Summary

State Enterprise Radioactive Waste is procuring one purpose-built container for storing spent sealed Co-60 radioactive sources with a maximum activity of 1×10¹³ Bq. The container must have a storage-vessel internal diameter of 107 mm and height of 132 mm, an overall height of 682 mm and a diameter of 580 mm; its empty mass must not exceed 2,000 kg. Technical lead with a density of 10.8 g/cm³ is specified for shielding. The contract includes manufacture, assembly, production-stage inspections and tests, and delivery to the Novi Han radioactive waste facility within 10 months.
