Main Grid Design – Package 1

Summary

E.ON electricity network companies are procuring design services in 12 lots for electrical substations, overhead lines and telecommunications networks, including associated construction and as-built design documentation. Lots 1–3 cover substation protection, connections and optical equipment; lots 4–6 concern the expansion of optical communications networks and cable design. Lots 7–12 mainly involve increasing the capacity of 132 kV overhead lines, replacing conductors or earth wires, addressing non-compliant locations and preparing the required construction and as-built designs.
