Rail transport of lignite coal

Summary

The contract concerns the rail transport of up to 150,000 tonnes of lignite coal from Motru Est to the unloading siding at CET Sud Timișoara over a period of up to six months. A framework agreement will be awarded to up to two service providers, with a maximum value of RON 16.5 million. Bidders must have the required rolling stock, a rail transport licence, infrastructure access and a safety certificate, as well as suitably qualified staff. Offers are scored on price (90%) and weekly transport capacity (10%); 6,250 tonnes per week is the minimum, while 7,500 tonnes per week or more earns the maximum capacity score.
