Tender detail
Prequalification for the JadeWeser 200 MW electrolysis plant EPC tender
Summary
The procurement concerns prequalification for the EPC tender for the first stage of a planned 200 MW electrolysis plant in the JadeWeser area. EWE HYDROGEN GmbH and VERBUND GREEN HYDROGEN GmbH intend to build and operate the plant through a joint venture. At around 5,000 full-load hours per year, it could produce up to 17,600 tonnes of green hydrogen annually from renewable electricity and feed it into the H₂Coastlink 5 pipeline. This is prequalification ahead of a future engineering, procurement and construction tender; it is not yet an invitation to submit an EPC works bid. Participation requires a consortium, and the request to participate must be submitted electronically by 13 November 2026 at 10:00. The shortlist will include 3 to 10 candidates. A tender guarantee and a confidentiality agreement are required, although the guarantee details are not yet specified in the notice. The project is located in the Havendorf area of Germany.
