Purchase of five electric city buses and charging stations in Zalău

Summary

The Municipality of Zalău is procuring five 6–8 metre electric city buses equipped with public transport management and ticketing systems, interior and exterior information displays, Wi-Fi, video surveillance and ticket validators, together with five slow-charging stations. The supply also includes maintenance and diagnostic equipment, initial spare parts, reserve parts and electronic control units, software licences, installation, commissioning, training and quality-control services. The buses and charging stations are to be delivered to the Transurbis Zalău bus depot. The estimated contract value is RON 12,390,945.87 and the contract period is 20 months. The bidder must have annual turnover of at least RON 20 million in 2025 and demonstrate deliveries of similar public-transport vehicles worth at least RON 12 million under no more than three contracts completed in the previous three years. The buses must have a warranty of at least five years or 300,000 km, a range of at least 200 km in the E-SORT heavy urban cycle, and capacity for at least 22 passengers. Bids must be submitted electronically with an extended electronic signature based on a qualified certificate. Price has a 40% weighting; the other award criteria concern warranty, range, energy consumption and passenger capacity. The submission deadline is 5 November 2026 at 15:00.
