Preparation of the Beerse Spatial Policy Plan and Strategic Environmental Assessment

Summary

The Municipality of Beerse is commissioning a new municipal spatial policy plan together with a strategic environmental assessment. The work includes developing the municipality’s long-term spatial vision and policy frameworks for three themes to be defined in more detail, integrating the environmental assessment into the plan, and supporting the design of a communication and participation process. The plan must help balance housing development, economic growth and the protection of open space, and provide concrete, achievable guidance. The work is planned for 2027–2029. Bidders must have at least three qualifying references for comparable spatial policy plans and include at least one registered spatial planner in the team. The bid must contain a vision of no more than three A4 pages and an approach plan stating the schedule and expected working hours. The performance guarantee is 5% of the original contract value excluding VAT. Award criteria are price (35%), vision (25%), approach plan (35%) and integration of the environmental assessment (5%).
