Rapid evidence review on confidence in maths among children and young people, with a focus on girls and young women

Summary

The Department of Education and Youth is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to undertake a rapid evidence review on confidence in mathematics among children and young people, with a particular focus on girls and young women. The review will consider evidence relating to mathematical self-belief, self-efficacy, attitudes toward mathematics, and willingness to engage with mathematical learning across the education continuum from early learning and care through primary and post-primary education. The estimated contract value is EUR 80,000 and planned duration is 12 months. Tender submissions are due by 5 November 2026 at 17:00 (Irish time).
