Extension, tertiary upgrading and renovation of the Perwez wastewater treatment plant

Summary

The contract covers the extension, tertiary upgrading and renovation of the Perwez wastewater treatment plant. The works include constructing a new treatment line with a capacity of 7,000 population equivalents, a sludge-treatment line, a new technical and administrative building, dismantling the existing structures and equipment, and providing temporary measures to keep the plant operational during construction. The treatment process will use activated sludge, and the plant must handle a pollution load equivalent to 7,000 population equivalents at 180 litres per population equivalent per day, with COD of 120 g and suspended solids of 120 g per population equivalent per day. Tenderers must submit process design and hydraulic calculations, demonstrate the required previous experience, hold category V, class 8 registration for water-treatment installation works, and account for a 5% tender guarantee and electronic invoicing.
