Ecohydrological study of Kikbeek and the Mechelse Heide protected area

Summary

The tender concerns an ecohydrological study of the Kikbeek lake and the surrounding groundwater-dependent vegetation. The study must assess the impact of raising the lake level on groundwater levels and ecological conditions, as well as additional wetland restoration measures in the Mechelse Heide, Ziepbeekvallei, Neerharerheide and Asbeek areas. Hydrological and ecological models must be used to examine lake-level increase scenarios and develop a climate-resilient system without compromising the long-term stability of the E314 motorway, the Berg quarry or Kikbeek lake.
