Construction of a cruise section of Souda Port – seabed dredging works

Summary

The tender concerns dredging works in the wider sea area of Souda Port and around the extension of the new quay. The works are intended to achieve an operational depth of up to 12.50 m, including seabed excavation and removal of approximately 5.0 m of in-situ soil in the area where the new quay extension will be constructed. Part of the dredged material will be placed in an approved marine disposal area, while non-hazardous material will be deposited in a confined aquatic disposal cell and covered with at least a 3 m layer of inert material.
