Improvements to wastewater pumping stations in the Cidade and Palmeira systems

Summary

The contract covers the improvement and refurbishment of 11 wastewater pumping stations in the Cidade and Palmeira systems in Braga. The main works involve supplying and installing dry-mounted, self-priming pumps and an in-line pumping solution with an SCS-type self-cleaning system or technical equivalent. The contractor must survey the existing facilities and measure actual hydraulic operating conditions, adapt the hydraulic, pipework, civil, electrical and automation systems, connect the solution to the existing controls, and test and commission the equipment. The works must be planned to maintain wastewater drainage throughout; temporary bypass systems are to be used where necessary.
